Gmail update

Got a nice surprise this morning when I opened my Gmail.

Who else is loving the new drag and drop feature? You can drag a message to a label, or drag a label to a message.

Very nice as my head is still stuck in the world of folder logic.

Wow, first the iphone gets cut and paste and now gmail gets drag and drop! I'm reliving the 80s!

You have to grab the handle (2 rows of dots) to the left of the message.

The only difference is that Gmail/Google isn't adverstising it like the newest and greatest technology ever discovered. I'm just surprised it took this long, using the labels was a pita before this.

Y'know why I switched to gmail? Because it loaded FAST compared to all other webmail services I'd tried. Everytime Google adds something, the webpage slows down. I don't like it. Maybe if they gave you the option of a slow vs. fast version, it'd be better.

I was more excited with the ability to show/hide specific labels in the navbar. In fact, it was a feature I searched for on Google on Monday. They must have read my mind.

I had my labels on the right side and now that option is gone. I hope they bring it back.

Doesn't make much difference to me. Pretty much all my mail is auto labeled by email address.

Now, they just need to add a Preview Panel and they'll be caught up to everyone else.
