Just use YouSendIt to share your large files. Yahoo mail sucks and you're paying for that Yahoo account whereas Gmail is free.

I've got a yahoo account and it is free so you guys paying for Yahoo mail not sure what you're doing. I've only got 1gb of storage on the yahoo account but I'm still only using 3% of that.

For what I do (simple e-mailing and stuff), Gmail works great. I'll keep it until it doesn't do what I need. Then I will find something else that does.

It more or less is available to anyone who cares to investigate it. This forum is a perfect example. Just to a search for G-mail. People have posted signup links right and left around here. And this is just one of many forums on the Internet. Bottm line... If you want it you can get it.

Oh and G-mail pwns *

Google you suck!

it wont let you send .exe because they realize that morons always download the .exe and run it.

gmail does exactly what it is designed to do - send and receive emails. its not designed to be everyone's public ftp, even though you have the space to do it. and over the course of a few years, heavy users can easily fill up 2.5gb of email storage.

I like yahoo's interface better than gmail's. I'm lazy to switch also since my yahoo has been my primary for a couple years now.

I use Gmail, and I like it. I do think there are a lot of improvements they can make though. The one feature I really wish they had that my Yahoo account does have is the ability to create temporary "spam" email accounts associated with your main address.

Gmail is awesome, and by far the best interface of any webmail. I use it as my primary email now, but my only problem with it is not being able to breakup "conversations" or compile several messages into one.

why do you need to send 20mb files?

and gmail is great.

I find it the simplest way to backup and share files with others . :)

there are much better ways to share files up to 2 gigs + but i dont really feel like telling you any more.

Go to Mail Options, then "AddressGuard" This may be a feature that just paid or SBC Yahoo users get, I'm not really sure.

Just change the file extension = instant work around. Just mention it to the people your sending. Doesn't help if they are a complete n00b though.
