gmail = spam magnets?

Like many of you, I've got more than one gmail account. I made one using an invite I had a couple months ago just for the hell of it. I eventually forgot the password, and when I retrieved it and logged in today I found my spam box had 40 messages in it. I've never used this account, either.
 
My primary Gmail account that I use to get into forums = spam everywhere

Secondary gmail accounts that I rarely use but might have signed up to one or two forums = little spam

Gmail account that I never use/give out = no spam
 
spam free. that was the way with my previous most used email address, until i started using gmail, then i got a ton of spam at my old address.
 
I get spam in the account I use (and have given out that address). In my "private" account, 0 (zero) spam. 🙂
