does anyone know if there's a way to setup one-time addresses with your Gmail account?

for example, if I'm signing up for something that could potentially result in spam or if i'm responding to someone online that i'm not sure of (not sure how they will use my email), is there a temp address that i can use from my Gmail account?

If you use firefox, then there is an add-on that creates a temporary e-mail, and an inbox that you can check for confirmation e-mails.

just use your gmail account to invite yourself to gmail, then greate a second gmail account for ANYTHING that might result in junk/spam... works for me

Yeah, 10minutemail is awesome.

Gmail will also let you use plus-addressing, which is sort of similar depending on what you're trying to do http://www.extremetech.com/art.../0,1697,1865178,00.asp
