I have contacts added into gmail and I also have an address book in Outlook.

If I imported the contacts from outlook into gmail, would it append the contacts that are there?

A lot of them are the same contacts, would they double up or cancel each other out?

Any ideas would help!

OT a little, but I can't figure out how to send an email in Thunderbird using Gmail. It never works and I set it up just like Gmail says

did you change the port for the outgoing ssl server (smtp.gmail.com) to 465? I know that's something often overlooked.
