gmail pop3 issues

i've had a hell of a time in the last 3 days getting on, it'll work maybe 1 outta 10 times to get my email. anyone else?

i get socket error 10060 and error code 0x800CCC0E.

worked fine for the last 4 months, why now? nothing has changed.
