Gmail loading bar, ugh. Won't load.

I hate to post this, since the issue is probably on my side, but I will post regardless.

The Gmail loading bar stops at 99%! The HTML version loads immediately. I've cleared cache, refreshed, restarted Firefox 3.5, and everything else.

Blah.

Yeah, gmail can be a big pain in the rear at times. I no longer use it except to backup important communications.

I think Firefox has updated from 3.1 to 3.5 in the last WEEK, one by one. It's fucking annoying, and screwing up my computer. FAIL.

Have this problem once in awhile. I simply clear FireFox's cache and maybe cookies and it stops freezing / taking forever at the loading bar.

I have this problem all the time. You would think a company like google would be a bit better at fixing these sort of bugs, but oh well.

Enable Gmail preview in the lab section of Gmail.

This happens to me every once in a while, but when I check back later it is usually fixed.

this usually happens to me when i sign out from one account and try to log in to another. For some reason opening up another tab gets it to work.

Yea, that's what triggered it. I logged in and signed out very quickly. A box popped up informing me I had been logged out. If I log out after waiting a bit, there is no pop-up. So I assume that the pop-up notification is the doom bringer.

Works for me on every PC I've had the slow loading bar problem with. I don't actually use FireFox's "Clear Recent History" option though. I do the clearing with CCleaner.

I clear everything except for cookies and saved form information.

Good for you.

Same cause but usually I just go html mode.

Yeah, I get that on a regular basis too. Annoying.

Sometimes it just goes into "stasis mode" as well - it keeps recycling the URL without ever actually getting to the login page. That's much more rare, though.
