GMail having issues?

I don't think there's a problem, but it certainly is slow. One of our billing admins at our company uses her personal gmail account for business, and it's been slow as hell for her. But it gets through.

I've been waiting for a reset password email for about an hour. Gmail will be used as a spam account now, as I cannot trust that I will receive messages in a timely fashion.

Actually, I just sent received a Yahoo email. Sent at 9:06pm, received at 11:53pm.

I was considering moving to GMail as my primary address. Not really so much anymore. 🙂

I've been using GMail for at least 6 months now, and in that time I've had, no problems. I dont seem to be having the same delay you guy are having.

But your saying that because of one problem your going to scrap your plans to switch primaries?

That seems a little harsh.

How is that harsh? Emails are the primary communication medium for a lot of us. If it doesn't work right, we switch. We may not be paying directly for the service but they are earning ad money by showing us text ads.

Yes I have noticed.

When I need fairly instant emails, I use my hotmail account for those.

My GMail account is mostly family/friends email where there isn't a rush.

There's definitely a delay when I send from my SBC account to Gmail.

Also, I noticed that if I forward a bunch of emails with the same title to my Gmail account, they are all grouped together in one thread.

I noticed that too.

If I send a test email from my Yahpp acocount, it gets there instantly. I sent 2 from my Roadrunner account abut 6 hours ago - still not there.. 😕

Emails FINALLY came through.. 16 hours later.
:disgust:

Its harsh because I've had stretches with Hotmail where it would dro pmeails, not delay them, drop them.

The service has a hiccup once in at least 6-8 months (that not everyone is having so it is very possibly not even a gmail problem) and its suddenly just soooo unreliable.

That seems a bit ridiculous to me is all.

But I still use it and still plan on using it so the only one who misses out by you going with hotmail is you. And I'm okay with that 🙂
