In Gmail if you clicked attach file it would give you that browse button and white field. I could drag and drop the file to the browse button.

Suddenly I'm not able to do this anymore. It pops up the open dialog box.

This is either a Firefox 3.0.7 thing or Gmail made changes.

Changes were made to the file uploader recently (multiple file selections + status bar I think)

They must have done that today. Just tested now, and it wasn't like that yesterday.

i think they usually tier their updates or something...mines been like that for a while.

Mine too.

They do tier the updates.

Yeah, forgot about that. Did same with the themes. Must spread across their servers.

What's even worse is that you can't attach a Google docs to your email. You have to save it first as a pdf or text file, then attach it.

😕

Google updates are very weird when it comes to consistency, I suspect they do their tiering based on IP addresses to roll out to areas at a time.

If it was account based or based on what server your account was on, then why is it at work I get my google chat window in igoogle, but at home and on my laptop I do not. At work we are proxyed through St. Louis Missouri, and even though I live in Colorado.
