What I don't understand about the GM bailout is that it's not like there are car companies out there making money hand over fist right now. Honda, Toyota, Ford, GM, VW, KIA, Hyundai are all losing money. So why are we trying to keep GM alive? It's obvious there are too many car companies producing too many cars for too few consumers. The natural course is to let GM and Chrysler die and, when the economy picks back up, let the survivors expand and grow.
