you can get 2 golf bags in teh back of a coupe vette. I bet you cant get one in the gtr. having lived in a place that gets more snow than almost all other towns in the country, you dont need 4 wheel drive if you know how to drive in it.

Comparing the usability of $80k sports car (storage capacity, worthless rear seats unless your family consists of amputee midgets, etc), is as stupid as comparing the offroad capabilities of luxury SUV's. No one is going to be hauling lumber in either of these cars, so if you can squeeze some groceries in the trunk, which both cars can, it's a draw.

Edit:
Looking at Nissan's website, they only list interior dimensions for the front seats, which should tell you what they think of the rear ones.

Cargo space?

With seats in place:

GT-R: 8.8 cu/ft
Corvette: 22.4 cu/ft

Yea, definite usability advantage to the GT-R for holding more stuff than the Corvette... I take it you didn't actually look that up before spouting off about how great everything else is compared to anything the US builds.
You try driving a Corvette in like 4 inches of snow then report back. By snow, I mean roads that have not been plowed and cleared away.

Even if you say that good drivers should be able to drive a Corvette in the snow, would you want to drive it when you're looking for a car that has excellent track performance but needs good everyday driveability at the same time? And what would you do if you need to seat 3 or 4 people in the car. Having a 2+2 car is always better than having just a 2 seater car. That's my preference.

You are trying to make an argument for a scenario which is not feasible. The Corvette makes a great daily driver as much as a GTR. If you are truly facing snow every day, then you made the wrong choice in cars. The only reason why either car would be in the snow, is that you didn't expect it coming or it only snows twice a year.

I like the ZR-1 improvements, but I don't get the need for GT-R bashing. It's interesting that GT-R induces so much insecurity in Porsche and Corvette fanbois that they feel this need to bash it.

Both cars rock, and I don't know why fanboys want to be so obnoxious about their personal preferences.

And anyone who wants to drive a $70k+ sports car in 4 inch snow needs a skull exam, to see if there's anything in there.

It wasn't GT-R fanbois who brought it into this thread, it was insecure Vette fans.

Whoa, fancy that, a LC that doesn't kill a warranty.
real cars can handle the power also, sorry gt-r, corvette wins again

GT-R vs ZR1 is turning into 360 vs PS3 (or MS vs Apple)

Illegal for 2009 season. The cars have a manually operated clutch (little button/paddle thingy on the steering wheel).
