i like it. i dont love it or anything but i think its a nice car.
the monaro beat a Ferrari and a couple of porsche in the bathurst 24 hours... of course the Ferrari had mechanical trouble and a few porsche broke down but still...![]()
The Monaro HSV beats out the competition (Ferrari, Porsche, etc..) in the Australian V8 Supercar series all the time.
if GM wasn't so involved with the CTS-v (if you can call it that) in Speed GT series, they would have put in the Monaro/GTO. But instead they managed to create a tube-frame CTS to blow the competition in Speed GT.
the first race of the CTS-V looked pretty horrible for everyone else... hahahaha... they blew everyone out of the water... lol.
that's cause it wasn't really a CTS-v. It was a tube-framed race car with a CTS-v body and drivetrain. They changed the suspension geometry and pick up points..and since it was tube-framed they reduced the weight dramatically.
Well thats the thing I dont even know why they allowed it in only to have it be restricted later on...guess they underestimated it.
do you know how they did in the second round at Lime Rock? I missed the race since I had work.
Well they evened out the field so it didnt dominate like it did... it was still fast enough since it was on a charge right before it ended under yellow... 3rd and 5th for the caddys... 1-2 for the RS6. seeing how those audis launch from the line makes me feel sorry for their trannys. :Q![]()
I honestly didn't see the RS6 winning. Those guys are pigs, you can really see their weight in the corners. They can't carry speed in the bends..and they just understeer. Altho I don't know if they changed the setup in the second round.
how did they even out the field? Did they add ballast to the CTS-v?
