What do you expect when you buy a Saturn? Anyway, I drove a CVT Audi for the second time today, and it is MUCH better than a conventional tranny. Damn I wish I had a 5 speed or a CVT. Much better MPG as well.

when did gm have transmission issues????? from what i know, GM has had VERY few transmission problems if any.

also, if you read the articel TWENTY or so ppl complained about the transmission which struggled to accelerate at low speeds, and made a grinding/clanking noise when it happened.

NO injuries. also, GM says that this wasnt the only reason, but the fact that a 5 speed manual is coming out and the transmission wasnt in high demand anyways really limited its profitability.

nissan murano's have CVTs, it feels very odd when driving it.
it's just a constant pull so there's no lurching (no shifting)
