Humble, why are those "organizations" going to be PO'd? They don't seem to be PO'd yet, and limo's aren't a "new" trend..........

Personally I'd love to have a heavily discounted DTS, not only is it one of the nicest cars on the road it's also one of the highest in quality.

You haven't seen what the military did with all those craptastic taurus's when they got tired of fixing them??

Or don't take it from word of mouth from an Air Force auto mech who had to put up with those POS's. Least I had job security because the Air Force was dumb enough to get into a contract agreement with Ford for those years. There's a reson the Taurus isn't number 1 anymore in sales and a reason the military doesn't have a contract with them still.

As far caddy's being limos... yes it's a new TREND. They are typically towncars, not caddys. Bleh. People are just pointing out that the reason Caddy sells are so high right now is because of the "bling bling" factor and them being sold to limo dealers. Limo makers (who modify pre-existing cars) get suckered into buying them. Then the rich and famous get driven around in them. All the little hood-rats who see J-Lo, Puff daddy or someone else ridding around in a Caddy or Escalade think... wow, that's "bling bling" I have to own one. It has nothing to do with overall quality, dependability, and price. It has everything to do with marketering, slick under the table deals, and con jobs.

Seems the rebates do stack - IF you can find a dealer who will work with you AND they have stock. In my case it took 7 dealers to find one who agreed on the rebates and then NO ONE had any stock except for the fully loaded high-end models. Suck!

Would you mind saying exactly what you paid, and with what additional packages if any? I'd like to see what kind of price is available.

Thats a rip. I got the same package for 21,669.00 from my local dealer in MA.

quote the email
"Justin-

With a moonroof, sport package and cold weather package, your price after rebates would be $21,669. Regular MSRP is $30,195. When will I see you?"

Well, I took the plunge with my local dealer. I got a $36,900 GMC Crew Cab Z71 4x4 with everything but onstar, bucket seats, leather, and the bose soundsystem, for $27,700. Then I used my GM card and got another $2000 off, for a total of $25,700. Not too shabby!

(They also gave me a good trade in for my previous vehicle..Came within $300 of Edmunds trade-in price...I said good enough!)

Pats, that price does not include tax. It's possible my dealer is trying to add on the transportation & prep fees twice, but that's the only discrepency between that quick guide WDEagle posted, and what I've been shown.

Union workers sucks. I have seen people that works in NUMMI (Toyota) do math with pencil and paper, so the boss won't think that he hired too many people (job opportunity), they rejects all kinds of engineering improvement, complaining that seeing the same color in the line for too long is bad for them (yeah right), couldn't be fired no matter how many mistakes they makes.

To be honest I think mexicans, japanese and chinese workers do better quality job. US manufacture (including imports that built here) rely too much on automation because people aren't working right, taking too little responsibility, and just couldn't care less in improving their workmanship. Why work hard when UAW got your back and you won't get a dime more for working better? That's the downfall of communism.

Is there a website out there that breaks down the best deals plus rebates?

IE, with which vehicles are you saving the most money?

Triggerhappy007, thanks for guessing, but you guessed wrong. Suburbans and Yukons are NOT included in this discount program.

Who guessed wrong now? Check the last link that ClockerXP listed and it shows about $10K off Suburbans and $11K off Denali XL. :p
