NEW YORK General Motors is denying a report that it and Toyota are in talks about hybrid vehicle technology-sharing.
The report ran on the Web site of the "Wall Street Journal."
It says G-M chief executive Rick Wagoner is planning to head to Japan this month to meet with top Toyota officials.
G-M spokesman Scott Fosgard says Wagoner is visiting Japan to see the 20005 World Expo this month but isn't discussing technology with Toyota.
And Fosgard says no such talks are under way at any level.
In December, G-M and DaimlerChrysler announced a program to jointly develop fuel-saving hybrid engines, a field in which Toyota and Honda now lead.
