I consider myself to be geographically fairly above average, but obscure Russian cities and tiny little islands kicked my ass. 🙁

1st run: Level 4, Score 4209

Highest as of now: Level 6: Score 7845

Level 9, Score 13125
 
Difficult but fun.

It could use some improvement, though. For example, I was asked for 'Washington, USA'. So I clicked on Washington state in the Pacific Northwest. Well it wanted Washington, D.C. 3000 miles away.

yeah, that was my first try. you start off thinking "pffft... easy..." then you're typing in the countries and some of them are not acceptable, like "democratic republic of congo"... they want "dem rep of congo" instead. forget that. oh, and forget about naming all the little island countries in the south pacific...
