Global "Warming"

Man made global warming may or may not be occuring but:

--no one has been able to accurately predict its effects
--no one has come up with a viable solution
--There are many other factors on global climate other than co-2. We're due for another ice age and that'd be MUCH more damaging to mankind than global warming. Did you notice that a quarter of the Great Lakes are still frozen?

Bottomline: Even if man made global warming is real, mankind will have to adjust and we will. Like it or not we will continue to burn fossil fuels. That will not stop as long as the resource is there. So relax and don't worry about it! Not everything has a human solution. Some things we just have to live with...

Yawn. There's been lots of icebergs bigger than this in my lifetime. Also, this doens't have anything to do with global warming and it's disingenuous to imply that it does.

Can't accept that I dare disagree with you?

This is what thermal eqilibrium looks like prior to the Industrial Revolution.

Yes it is. What's your point?

If you notice the flat parts of the average temperature curve are where the Earth was in equilibrium. The changing temperatures are where it's out of equilibrium.

One thing to keep in mind, those steep changes which were caused by natural climate change, (which may have been your point), occurred over millions of years. The rate of change we are currently seeing is orders of magnitude faster than what's occurred naturally in the past. The increase correlates with the human activity. Measurements of temperature, solar incident radiation, atmospheric composition, relative amounts of carbon isotopes in the air and elimination of other variables provide causation.

In a rationale adult society debate would center on what analysis is still needed to nail down the effects and what actions to take.

You haven't disagreed with a thing I said. The science says what the science says regardless of your opinion on what liberals do or do not do.

Until you provide some sort of meaningful content I'll continue to find humorous pics because I find it amusing and it's the response your usual drivel requires.

Ppppffffttt,... if the globe is WARMING, then wouldn't this ice that broke off (probably due to global warming) melt in less than a year?!
Troll troll troll your boat...

But, on the off chance that you're serious, do you sincerely believe that even a 2 degree difference in water temperature is going to result in a couple hundred percent difference in the rate of melting?

The discussion over global warming / climate change should stop.

We need to work on cleaning up the environment so we have future generations and they will have safe and healthy things to eat and clean water to drink.

The pollution in Beijing alone should make every person on this planet to push for these actions.

Also, have these people NOT paid ANY attention to the snowy winter, we JUST had?!

Why do you think that? It is turning into Winter down there in the Southern Hemisphere And probably won't melt at all.
Did you pay any attention to the hottest Summer Australia just had at the same time as our snowy Winter?

The discussion over global warming / climate change should stop.

It cannot stop because humans are enriched by a carbon based economy.

We need to work on cleaning up the environment...
CO2 was listed as a pollutant. Change that, and we can again focus on real pollution.

The pollution in Beijing alone should make every person on this planet to push for these actions.
Case in point? Beijing does not have a problem with CO2. They have real pollution threats to face.

A snowy winter and a block of ice as large as a city not melting within a year, that's the OP's evidence. Better leave the debate to the scientists.
