I totally agree and I'm surprised no one followed the troll bait address I posted earlier. I think at some level opponents of climate change become conspiracy theorists and believe admitting we need to stop pollution at the expense of well, larger profits, is going to benefit something other than the economy or is aimed at a specific industry for political reasons.
I totally get it for those who know the long-term affects won't do anything to their rotting corpse that matters to them...(ie, all of those in congress and currently seated in politics will likely be dead before it really heats up) My issue is that I kind of like having 4 seasons and don't like deserts or barren wastelands so much. I am going to state that the world is already a very different place than it was prior to the 1890s when the industrial revolution and mass deforestation of the USA started this process.
I agree with Obama in that we need to start looking more to renewables for the sake of sustainability. I'm hoping the past 5-6 years of industry development have given big business enough of a jump in that sector to boost innovation and ride out the Trump storm. If they remain competitive without tax credits, who knows...we may see natural progression of the industry on its own 2 feet. (as long as the floods and high winds don't shatter all the solar panels and toss them off the rooftops)
