All we get now are Flash Floods...it actually damaged a road they had just repaired from the last Flash Flood in January! Apparently concrete is no match for water.

It also rains so hard the sump can't keep up. Might be time to move into a mountain bunker.

The American people were told that Global Warming/Climate Change doesn't exist, and was made up to bankrupt businesses, turning America into a 3rd world nation.

So, it can't suck, because it doesn't exist...

/s

TBH, I'd be fine if the weather could actually make up it's damn mind. 70s one day, only for it to not go above 45 the next.

If its true you are in DC, then I think poor stormwater runoff management due to an increase in impervious surfaces is to blame in this case, not global warming. DC used to be a swamp, now its more concrete than trees.

If you can, try to divert the water away from your house using a retaining wall or french drain. Try to make it somebody else's problem like DC always does.

2 things:

1. The USA is a third world country.

2. I thought huge swings like that are in fact evidence of climate change.

Trump will never admit there is global warming unless his Trump Tower is completely under water.

His buddy Putin also said there is none.

Obama put that water there. Climate change still not real.

Just saw a trump brainwaste trying to argue climate change is a hoax cuz

"The earths temperature has never fluctuated even over 100s of billions of years so this is all BS, totally fake."

Except that the earth is only 4.5 billion years old.

When I told him this...

He called me a libtard and said the world is only 8000 years old at the most.

I then referred him to his original assertion that earth was billions of years old, Which is it?

No response.

To be a trump supporter means your brain is literally defective, you need RMA to factory.

I totally agree and I'm surprised no one followed the troll bait address I posted earlier. I think at some level opponents of climate change become conspiracy theorists and believe admitting we need to stop pollution at the expense of well, larger profits, is going to benefit something other than the economy or is aimed at a specific industry for political reasons.

I totally get it for those who know the long-term affects won't do anything to their rotting corpse that matters to them...(ie, all of those in congress and currently seated in politics will likely be dead before it really heats up) My issue is that I kind of like having 4 seasons and don't like deserts or barren wastelands so much. I am going to state that the world is already a very different place than it was prior to the 1890s when the industrial revolution and mass deforestation of the USA started this process.

I agree with Obama in that we need to start looking more to renewables for the sake of sustainability. I'm hoping the past 5-6 years of industry development have given big business enough of a jump in that sector to boost innovation and ride out the Trump storm. If they remain competitive without tax credits, who knows...we may see natural progression of the industry on its own 2 feet. (as long as the floods and high winds don't shatter all the solar panels and toss them off the rooftops)

I'm hating this climate change BS too. It's only going to get worse as the world is run by corporations and greed and it costs money to go green so it won't happen. Governments try to put it on the people via carbon taxes but that won't do shit until corporations can change. If anything it will delay change as now people who may want to do stuff like go solar have yet less money to do it with. We just use what we have to use because it's what we are given to use. ex: fuel cars. The green alternatives are out of reach for most.

Our winters now are so screwed up, we get mid year melts often, constant freeze/unfreeze cycles etc and even rain in middle of winter. Very messy crappy weather.

On the flip side our summers seem to last longer now. Sometimes right through September.

What I don't get is it's a perfect opportunity to make money. Fine, climate change is bullshit. Fleece the sheeple by developing/selling them energy efficient stuff they don't need. It's a whole new category of commerce. Don't even try to tell me they're too ethical to sell what they think is snakeoil...

They have trillions invested in oil, coal and natural gas. They want to keep pumping that until it truly runs out, then and only then will they invest in green energy. Which could be in a hundred years.
