16C here today. Supposed to go down to 10C by the weekend. Chilly. We've been having a cool Fall so far in Toronto. Leaves changed early this year too.

Before this gets too far... GW does not mean warmer everywhere, it just means the average temps will go up.

So that means a few things. Melting ice (on average), changing weather patterns, and more energy in the atmosphere.

But, just like a train, once this thing gets moving fast enough to get somewhere that people notice, it will take a long time to stop it and get it back to where it was (if we even can).

So while people say "oh it was so cold today" while at the same time some places are recording record ALL TIME HIGHS.... IN SEPTEMBER! The thing to keep an eye on is changing weather patterns. More powerful storms, unusual rainfall or snowfall amounts, etc.

And another thing would be to just be a little more careful about things. For some reason some people seem to think you have to be a Greenpeacer to just use a bit less energy, emmit less noxious fumes, or generally be a bit less wasteful.

Thing is, even if there isn't wasn't warming (which I believe there is), what would it do to you to just be a little more efficient in what you use/buy/etc? Do you really need 400hp on your truck? Do you really need to drive 400 yards to the convenience store to pick up your HaagenDaas?

There are very few out there that can really say "yes" to that, but so many still do it.

Whatevah.

Only 3 inches of rain from that last storm, but areas of Virginia and the like got all time rain records (14 inches in 6 hours and 20 inches overall. Most rain in 140 years of record keeping).

Needless to say, the roads were randomly flooded out all around the area.... :p
