I can't describe it very well, but I feel like it takes too much to kill someone. That combined with "BG" queuing w/ 1 other person max seems pretty crappy. I'm never really played enough to comment on late/end game stuff. I did some AvA even as a lowbie and got rolled though (as expected).

I can explain it. It's Tribes... but not.

Basically it's HiRez's warmup to their upcoming Tribes MMO.

It's certainly not a bad game. I bought it real cheap on a D2D sale awhile back. It just couldn't hold my attention. I'll probably give it a whirl again when I get an SSD and upgrade from my 8800 GTS.

The thing that made me not want to try this game was, like the other guy said, it looked like it took too long to kill someone. I can understand making it so it takes a little more then a regular FPS to kill someone but dont make it like taking down a raid boss where you just sit there endlessly attacking something. Also they added too much weird stuff, like swords, if I wanted to play WoW Id play WoW, either make it a FPSMMO or just make another fantasyMMO like the million others. Then there was the fact it didnt have a persistant world which I think is a must for MMOs. Oh well.

I like the idea, never tried it, but if they are having to steep to F2P, things must not be going too well...

My favorite game ever, more so than valve games or any other shooter. I liked it at first, wasn't in love and was kind of busy, but picked it back up late summer and ended up winning 11 AvA seasons. I recommend that everyone give this game a serious / new look because the competitive play is a lot of fun.

1.4 is going to completely re-balance the classes and add more viability to the non-survivability specs, so I recommend that you all check it out.

I just dont understand why there are no FPS MMOs out there. It seems like such a no brainer. I havent tried this one but it was never very appealing to me after watching videos of it and whatnot.

A WW2 FPSMMO seems like such a great idea. That one company has one but they seem too low budgit to make anything of it. If the COD guys made one I think it could be something big.

Then you could do your scifi shooter. Something in a futuristic setting, maybe a little space piloting.

But instead were bombared with fantasy mmo after fantasy mmo. Im glad someone at least tried with Global Agenda but Im not sure they did such a good job.

I loved this game until Hi-Rez decided to ban me repeatedly.

Closed?

Patch 1.4 just came out. The new dome defense raid is a ton of fun, and class trees were reworked so that every class isn't playing balanced spec. Its hard on someone like me that has played one way every match, but should help out average players. Also if anyone decides to upgrade to elite status I can throw some credits/mods your way. just pm me :)

I enjoyed playing GA for a bit, but ultimately went back to playing other stuff. One thing that I hated about GA was that most of the back-end stuff was godawful - the auction house & crafting systems were terrible for starters.

Looking forward to the next Planetside at this stage.
