lol@outrage over a frog but abortion is a choice
I am anti-abortion. I also don't like senseless torturing and killing of animals. All life is valuable. Human life is more valuable in my opinion, although I know alot of people don't agree with that.
That said, I agree with the "lol" had any pro-abortion person been outraged. I don't recall seeing any outrage though.
Simple question? Glenn Beck nonsense aside, would a Frog or a Fetus be able to survive on its own?
It is a simple question of living vs. not yet living.
Wow, never realized that fetuses are dead. A born baby is not able to survive on its own either. Once the umbilical cord is cut, go ahead and let it loose all by itself see what happens. Guess it must not be alive then either.
Who's the one speaking nonsense?
Lol you got me.
I am pretty sure that after birth they can breath, grow, digest food, remove wastes from their bodies, maintain homeostasis and generally "live".
Developmentally the fetus has no way of living outside of the mother until a certain point. Until that point it is a growing mass of tissue. Babies on the other hand, can survive on its own. It is now living on its own with almost all of its major life necessary functions working. Yes, it needs to be provided food and nurtured in order to thrive and grow, however, that wasn't my point. Until a certain point fetuses lack all the necessary machinery for life. If removed from the mother, it can not breath, it can not digest, it can not correctly pump blood. It is not fully a living organism. It can not do things that basic bacteria can do. Now, I will consed that there is some gray area as to where exactly it becomes a living organism, but a great deal of its time in the womb is not fully alive.
