Glenn Beck says something dumb, news at 11!

The guy is a laughingstock, what's the point of posting the dumb shit he says? He's an embarrassment to any thinking Republican.

Problem with that line of thinking is the GOP has allowed their party to be tied into it...

Beck identifies himself as a libertarian.

yep, sport - and a fair many claim to be libertarian while still being republican...

I wish I was.. But racism is no laughing matter. Even worse, Obama orchestrated the bitch slapping (no pun intended) of Hillary to not only keep whitey down, but to keep WHITE WOMEN down. Disgusting.

Oh come on people he's obviously trying to pull everyone's chain. The Hillary exaggeration proves it.

Oh, dear sir... He's not

This is the real issue in this thread. I suspect you have more experience with FNE and feel free to point me to other threads, but right now his responses are creative, with minimal spelling errors, and fancy words like "orchestrated." To me these clues suggest he is a talented goat herder.

lol I didn't realize this guy came up with 9 principles and 12 values. This kind of shit will really tug at the hearts of middle American holy zealots.

The 9/12 Project is a campaign that was announced by Beck on March 13, 2009. It is named for nine principles and twelve values, extolled by Beck, that he says embody the spirit of the American people on the day after the September 11 attacks.[27] His twelve values are honesty, reverence, hope, thrift, humility, charity, sincerity, moderation, hard work, courage, personal responsibility, and gratitude.[28] These virtues are similar to the ones Benjamin Franklin outlined in his autobiography[29]

His nine principles are:

1. America Is Good
2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday
4. The family is sacred
5. If you break the law you pay the penalty
6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results
7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with whom I want to
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion
9. The government works for me ? I do not answer to them, they answer to me.[30]

LOL besides #8 it is solidly GWB/Palin style nonsense.

Well, Obama DID assume it was "white" cop who wronged Gate just because he is black. There is a difference between racist and discrimination.

Vic: "Glen Beck is a moron."

Seriously, media figures like him ('right' or 'left') are not news or political commentary, they are entertainment. Beck is nothing more than a radio 'shock jock' with a political twist. As with (a relatively non-political shock jock like) Howard Stern though, the same principles apply... the more outrageous his comments, the better his ratings, regardless of truth or sanity.

It only takes a little gasoline to start a fire....

First time I've seem these so let's review.

1. Yes but good people can do bad things. If you ignore those there will never be improvment
2. Is fine but some of the biggest douchbags in this country follow #2.
3. If you are honest all of day #1 how can you be more honest on day #2?
4. No disagreements here so let's outlaw divorce.
5. Unless you are a high government official. If you prosecute it's labeled as dividing the country.
6. So who has the more equal rights? Men, Women, Blacks, Whites, Hispanics, Asians?
7. Up with corporate welfare down with AFDC
8. Tell that to the Dixie Chicks
9. No arguments here

Yeah this is my favorite. I mean he's basically admitting he's dishonest but workin' hard at it.

Yeah this is my favorite. I mean he's basically admitting he's dishonest but workin' hard at it.

Admittedly, I see nothing wrong with this, it's just common sense. Only a liar would claim that he always tells the truth.

I'd agree if he were saying, "strive to be as honest as possible." But he specifically says to be more honest than yesterday, suggesting he wasn't that honest to begin with. Aside from white lies about a woman's butt looking fat or not telling the boss that you don't like your job, it's not that hard to be honest TODAY.

Of course this is nit-picky. Obviously he is just trying to say, "be honest." But it's still funny IMO.

And just how many "thinking Republicans" are there in the Republican base? He's just pandering to his audience.

I'm gonn'a make a huge leap of faith here and assume Beck can barely keep from laughing himself silly every time he performs his act for his faithful fanatics.

I mean, surely he can't be that much of a whack job where he actually believes any of that crap that comes out of that sewer pipe in his face.

I guess he wants desperately to be on-stage at the Kodak Theater next year.

Let's see, what kind of ratings does your god Olberman pull in? Yeah I thought so. Leave Beck alone because contrary to what you liberals think on here, very few people believe the way you do.

He's a talk show host trying to make money and get his share of attention. Obviously since it's his job he's going to do whatever he needs to do to do the job. This does include making ridiculous statements.

Also, President Obama tries to pass Health Care, NON SHOCKER NEWS AT 2.

At least in El Paso Texas . I bet GLen Beck, Sean Hannity, Oxcy Limbaugh and Lyndon LaRouche are very popular there.

Let's see 80% of El Paso is Hispanic and while people claim Hispanics tend to live their lives conservatively, a big majority vote Democrat. Some of the biggest hypocrites I know are hispanic people in general. Most are Catholic and go to church regularly, make the sign of the cross when passing a church, have a ton of religious symbols at home, yet vote straight ticket democrat.

Do you even know what the word hypocritical means? Political affiliation and religious affiliation have almost nothing to do with each other. Straight-ticket Democrat is probably more in line with Catholic teachings, with the exception of pro-choice, than straight-ticket Republican. I mean, other than the abortion issue, what on the platform of Republicans is actually in-line with religious teachings? Help the poor, those in need, those who are less fortunate, those who are oppressed? Nope, in fact, Republicans are pretty much trying to stop every initiative that helps those very groups.

Republicans pander to the religious community for votes, not because of principles. If it wasn't their most loyal base, they'd backstab all the religious folk in a heartbeart and make you guys love it.

I like how you dismiss abortion as just one of the many issues the Catholic church deals with as if it is on equal footing as say not being able to use contraceptives. Abortion is probably the greatest non-negotiable in the Catholic church that trumps all others combined. Perhaps hypocritical is not the correct word choice because I think most of those people do not actually pretend to be religious, they truly believe. How about misguided.

So because he has white people in positions below him that shows he's not a racist? He seems to be keeping whitey down in his Administration.. Maybe since you say he has all these white people in positions of power he really hates blacks? Which is it?

The POTUS does not have any white people in positions above him? What positions in his adminstration are above him?
