Glen Beck followed by O'reilly factor

I have been watching them back to back for a few months now... Today I took off, I was getting too much absorbed in them to the point where I worried too much about our future, the future of the country and my kid... seemed like theres not hope...
Decided to take it easy for a while...
Anyone else watched them back to back... with the politics heating things up anyone else feels the heat ?

O'Reilly is arrogant and annoying. Glenn Beck does say some things I agree with, but he too can act in an annoyingly mocking and superior way. OF course, he is always trying to counter that with his "I was a drug addict/alcoholic" speech, which I get, but is really annoying sometimes. I don't much like TV personalities, really, I just want to hear the news as factually stated as possible, and to account for bias I like to watch/listen/read from different sources (CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, Al Arabiya, Fox News, News Hour, NPR, the NYT, etc).

I like Wolf Blitzer, and the Situation Room is probably what I watch most often (convenient time and channel).

Add in the CNN anchor Lou Dobbs and you hit the trifecta.

NPR is where i get my news from - I sometimes feel fortunate to have such a radio station. But its nice to have a point of view too from time to time...

You should definitely keep listening to NPR if you're going to watch Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck as well. You don't want to OD on too much conservative bias in your news without some liberal biased news to balance it out.... or you might become one of those people who starts mindlessly agreeing with the viewpoints of right wing whack jobs like Sean Hannity and Ann Coultier (shudder)

I usually listen to Beck's radio show. It has a lot more humor. He seems to take a more "common sense" approach to politics (when he mocks, he's trying to come from his viewers' view point by saying, hey, I'm a recovering alcoholic DJ and I could figure this out, why can't the people in Washington?). His TV show isn't nearly as entertaining as his radio show.

O'Reilly is very annoying to me. I liked him when he first started, but then I read his book. He goes on a tirade about Sour Cream and Onion Potato chips. That was enough for me. Occasionally he has a good point, but he's not worth the time.

Glen Beck is the Fing man. O'Reilly on the other hand is a douche!

O'Reilly and Beck and Dobbs, and NPR and CNN and the NY Times and the WSJ are all the same.

CRap. If you buy into the media you're already fucked. Turn off your TV, get some books, make some good friends, drink some beer. THINK. Use your own brain. Trust me you will get wiser and be happier.
