i decided to google GLCM and found pictures from my old air base i was stationed at for 2 years.

i was with the 38th TMW (tactical Missile Wing) at Wueschheim Germany and our job was to take 12 nuclear loaded Cruise Missiles out in in the German country side, hide them and point them at Russia. It scared the shit of the Russians because they never knew where were in Germany with 12 tomahawk cruise missiles pointed at them. there were other GLCM bases in Holland, Italy, Belgium and England.

this is what the launch vehicles looked like when we deployed. I am in the first pic of "charlie Flight" .

How hard would it be to launch one of those suckers? A couple of key turns and press a big red button? 😛

What years were you stationed there and how many beers could you have the day before duty?

How much of a pain in the ass were security measures when you worked with nukes? Did you have to write down the names of every girl you were dating or something?
