Damn, they raised the price right before I was going to order it. It's now almost $190, raised like $40 I think. Anyone know a cheaper place to find it now?
I live in sandiego, I ordered on the 23rd, my status said "sent to warehouse" right up until mr. ups knocked at my door with my gladiac today

yayJust as an update... I got my card last night and ran right upstairs to install it. I slapped it into my game machine and prepared to re-install windows. As I was installing windows I realized something was not right. The card was only displaying SOME colors. It was not displaying green or red. The only colors it displayed was yellow, blue, brown and purple. Looks like I got a bad card. Just to be sure I installed it into my other server. Same thing. DAMN!
Wonder if Buy.com will be able to get me another one.

I am too awaiting this card. I ordered on the 26th and the last e-mail I got was the "Thanks for your order." I never received one that said we are still looking.
Talking with friends all over the United States, they have heard buy.com uses a stack instead of a queue to process orders. This means:
stack = first in last out... or, first to order last to get
queue = first in first out... or, first to order first to get
I do not agree with them using a stack if that is what they do, but, I guess we can't do much since no one over there knows what really is going on. Nor can you get a straight answer from any type of management figure (if that is who you get when you ask for a manager.. could be the CSR in the next cubical or something). What this could also mean is that your order is sent to a warehouse and then is put in the stack there. So people will get theirs on different days and it would not make much sense to use when, where, and why people are receiving them. It is all dependant on which warehouse and when you got placed in the stack at that particular facility.

i ordered mine on the 28th, and today i got a "your order have been shipped" email with tracking number. it was shipped yesterday, the 29th, from tennessee, according to ups tracking.

I received my ELSA Gladiac Geforce2 GTS on friday 12/29/00!! Got home today (Sat. 12/30/00). I placed my order initially on 12/24/00 and after reading this thread became very skeptical. However, as I continue to type this message with this beauty installed, I feel tremendously relieved.
For Abit KT7/KT7-Raid users, I recommend you change the 'AGP Driving Value' to 'DA' in the BIOS. Don't forget to enable 'AGP4X' and 'AGP Fast Writes' in the BIOS too. I installed Detonator3 6.34 drivers. I already had the VIA 4-in-1 4.25a drivers and DirectX 8.0 installed. Make sure to use WCPUID to check the status of AGP (should be 4X), else you'll have to get a reg patch (check www.geforcefaq.com).
With default drivers settings, I'm getting a score of 6400 in 3DMark2000! This is great news for me since I have not reached the limit of my duron and have not even begun to o/c my elsa.

Per my last post (look up a couple), I received the "we are still looking" e-mail yesterday.
I ordered mine on the 24th around 7-8:00 PM, and received it Friday the 29th from the Harrisburg, PA warehouse (I am in Syracuse, NY). It was listed as back-ordered when I initially placed the order. A DVD-ROM drive that I had ordered a few weeks before that was initially listed as back-ordered, and then in-stock a couple days later (Toshiba 1502) did not ship until the 28th. Go figure.

Just so you guys know. I received the "You card has been shipped" e-mail the day after ups delivered my card. So, I would say don't lose to much hope right away. Especially if you live in the east coast. I got my card from the PA warehouse.

Yes, the duron's FPU is way superior to the celeron. Also, I run my FSB @ 100mhz right now. That might explain the differences in scores we're getting. However, that's one variable only to consider out of many.

I think one of the important thing is that I am using
a old abit BH6 board. I think only AGP 1X is supported.
Besides that I am running at close to 900mhz and have tons
ram at CL2. Cant really find anything else slowing me down :-(

This stinks. I order my card on the 23rd and order details say that the card is on order. All you guys who got their card are lucky dogs. I called buy.com and they said that the card is backordered to Jan 20. I guess that I will just patiently wait.
Anyone found any type of GeForce2 GTS 32mb at all close to this? Like within $10-15 including shipping? Maybe a pricematch somewhere? I want to get one soon, but don't want to have to wait until late Jan. for this backorder. Maybe I'll start a new thread on this.
