Would you say a Voodoo 5500 is better than the elsa. I play mostly sports games, where I want to have fast screen refreshes, instead of slower with more details. With this in mind what do you think would be the best choice to keep. Just curious.

It's a hard decision for me, but...
-it's going to be impossible to sell a gladiac for a while after this deal.
-I really liked my elsa tnt2 when they first came out. A very good company.
-The card was cheaper!!

So, I guess a will try my luck with this card.

in frames/sec in 3D the GeForce2 is WAY better!

i think it depends on how it works for YOU also, in your PC!

So is this deal still valid? I've got a V4 4500 AGP and would luv to move up. Can I still get in on this? I don't really care about the TV or gamepad...just want the video card, but they would be nice additions...I just checked and it seems as though they took the link off their webpage, yet I see many people saying they ordered the video card earlier today??What's the latest word? Thanx in advance for any clarification.
 
When I did this a day ago, I called the first time and they said it was out of stock and I had to wait 3-5 days. I called again and I got the deal.
 
I don't think a different video card is gonna affect the quality of your text nowadays.

3dfx will continue driver support, but the GF2 is faster and has been image quality.
 
I reached a very nice CSR who was very familiar with the deal. It seemed the Gladiac was in stock and the pricematch with Onvia was not a problem, nor was the coupon but the gamepad was out of stock and the TV could not be applied before the coupon (natch!). Then finally the Gladiac was oddly out of stock when it came time to finalize. Apparently it was in stock an hour ago (NW WA). So I will have to check back. Without the TV though the deal is only warm as $120-130 shipped is kinda standard and it will only be cheaper in January and the coming months so long as these companies are still around and have valid coupons. C'est la Chaude Affaire(TM)!
 
Remember is you get a CSR that won't let you add the TV just continue with the deal and call back later and add it with a CSR that will allow it. That's what I did.
 
I did what nightwatch said. I was actually kind of embarassed so I didn't even try it the first time. I just called back later in the day and got the tv with no problems.
 
I ordered the card and got the TV added on later. When I checked my order at Staples,it showed the TV shipped and the card in proccess. DOH !! the card arrived the next day (Tuesday) and I am using it now. Still waiting on that free TV but that is OK with me.

I ordered it on Monday and the expected delivery date was 12/26, but when I got home today I had a treat waiting for me!! I am coming off a VooDoo 2, so this is gonna be a big change for me! thanks again for the post 🙂
 
Same here. The CSR that I got last night said it was in stock, so when it came to finalizing the deal, he said it was out of stock. He got my hopes high there for a few minutes.
 
doh.. called around lunch and was out of stock.. called in the morning and the person didn't say anything about being out of stock

Today when I get home from work...

WooHoo! Got waiting for me the most beat up looking Staples box I've ever seen... in it was the TV and an updated invoice...lower $$$. yup, THank You Staples!


So My deal went from $128.33 incl. free shipping, which was a super deal to begin with, to $75 dollars and change for a 32MB gEfORCE2 GTS DDR AND a FREE T.V.

I think if you check with your credit card co. you will find that they actually sent you the TV and charged you for it in addition to the $128 for the GF card.
 
Well I ordered over the phone on Monday, was told its in stock. Thought I'd check up on the order online tonight. Says the Video card is back ordered and will not ship and to call Staples. On top of all that they billed my card for something that hasn't even been shipped!!!!

This was my first and last order through Staples. I should have known better with all the horor stories.

Hmmmm I can't find any confirmation on the website for my order.. When I enter in my order number it doesn't find it listed in their database. However I have an 11 digit order number and it says to input your 10 digit order number. I suppose its possible I may have took the number down incorrectly the CSR gave me over the phone. I'm a tad worried though
