I have had it about a week and I am liking it for the price. I have got to use it in different settings and really like it a lot. Last night I used it in a dark auditorium, hand held, and I was at least a 100 feet from the stage, here is the pic.

All my pics are straight from camera with auto adjustments in Photoshop. Nothing mind-blowing, but for a cheap lens and me being a noob I am pleased.
 
Very impressive with no sharpening (Did you shoot these in RAW? Did your RAW converter add sharpening?). I've only recently learned about this lens and everything I've seen so far is promising.

That's a great setup to have! I have been very happy having the Tamron and the Cannon 70-300 IS USM over the past several years on the XTI. I have borrowed a friends 10-22 lens, but that is a specialty lens.
