GK107 ES youtube 3dmark 11 benchmark [FAKE]

ES = engineering sample. If you just want to know, it scored p3818 with an i7-3960x. For the sake of comparisons, the hd770 scores around p3545 (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7770-7750-benchmark,3135-5.html).

I know it's not what most people are looking forward to (including me) but given that this is the smallest of the Kepler chips coming out, it's still useful as a comparison to AMD's current smallest 28nm GPU - Cape Verde. The only caveat is that it's a synthetic benchmark. But if performance holds up, then Nvidia is setting up gk107 to go head to head with cape verder, leaving gk106 for pitcairn, gk104 against Tahiti, and the eventual GK110 to stand alone.

EDIT: Looks like the scores exactly match a gtx460, and more than likely a product would not be identified as "engineering sample" in system / drivers panel.

Youtube "leaks" of graphics card are usually pretty fail. This one, if it was faked, at least had some effort put into it. Would have been nice if he would have shown the card though.

he has some other vids there including an RE 5 variable benchmark where he supposedly gets 105 fps on all max settings and 16x AA at 1920x1080. I do not believe that as even my system only gets 125 fps in that bench and I know darn well a gtx570 is more than 20% faster than the gk107 chip.

One can hope it is priced better. Hope, but I doubt it will. depending on when GK110 will launch. It may not stand alone. It will have 7990 to deal with and a possible Tahiti refresh. I canceled my order for the 7950 cause shipping came in a little more than I was willing to spend.

I'll be looking at whats available by the time Win8 launches.

I get 4514 stock (822Mhz) and 4936 (900) with GTX560Ti and my sig system.
So, this vid claims a GK107 performs only 700 (or 85% of) points lower than a stock GTX560Ti in 3DMark11. Impressive if not a fake.

Welldone if fake.

But if fake, a question for the big tech heads here..

What card is used? what card is so close with the equipment used it can't be anything other than that one?

Could be a lot of things.
Underclocking and overclocking alone accounts for numerous cards to be used.
Could have been a stock GTX460 or GTX460SE. Or a mongo overclocked GTX550Ti. I don't have any of these to test so just saying what "could" have been used. Im sure there are others.

I'm not seeing anything more than speculation, same that's going on here.
The graphics score is the important one, not the overall score. Which can be influenced with a faster cpu. The 7770 got 3200 (almost), and this card in the video got 3521 .

3521? Which card are you referring to?

EDIT: DUH you said Graphics score. My bad. :: sheepish ::

I think introducing 7770 numbers is only serving to confuse us simple folk. Me included. It's relatively meaningless for showing if these "GK107" numbers are faked or not. That's why I was asking for GTX460 numbers.
Those numbers are from my single gtx 460 at various speeds.

Nvidia will not release a 560 or 570 successor with that sort of performance. I'm sure they would prefer to let AMD have the whole playing field to themselves rather than release something as crappy as that.

I'm off to GNC to buy some multi-vitamins. I just can't seem to follow.

Can you elaborate?

Who said anything about a 560 or 570 successor? This is "supposedly" a GK107, a lower end GPU. And I agree with some others that if this is indeed a lower end card, then a score of 3818 is rather impressive for what it is.

I thought "GK104 or GTX670Ti" or whatever it will be called was supposed to replace GTX560Ti? And I don't know what is supposed to replace 570.
