So i just finaly got this gizmo voip phone thing on my pc with my broadband internet conection and I noticed that it only costs 1cent per minute for calling inside the us. Damn that totaly beats my cell which is 20 or 10 depending on what time it is and who Im calling. U can eather by minutes in a $20 or $10 amount. Thats were my problem comes in I dont have a credit card(being a college student currently employed job to job dont realy want to hassle with debt) and dont use paypal. I wish there was some kind of prepaid card u could go buy at the local electronics store or you could do a mail order :/ If these voip services started selling prepaid cards at the local stores i think they could make a killing.

seriosuly dude, that is expensive. SIPPHONE is asking 2cents/min AND 14cents/min to El salvador.

Even vonage gives me $24/unlimited + $12cents to El salvador.

Hell, we even got the VoiP Adapter for free (SIP wants $90) and we can use xten or some other SIP client for $10/month

Meh if you know what you're doing you can do a lot of the VoIP stuff for free. I'm working on getting asterisk setup again with my free washington phone number with my free outbound PSTN access via voipusers.

ya this isnt exactly what your talking about but I just found some sort of a work around for people to call in from PSTN on my sip/gizmo account. Basicly what you would do is dial a gateway number from the PSTN line then you input your sip number and it will call the sip account.

Only problem there is a local number in my area code 916. I just tested this on my cell which has unlimited long distance using a number in SF. So i know it works.
