Giving up on web mail - what app should I use?

I am not a fan of Outlook on home PCs, but if that is my best choice...

I am a dedicated firefox user and want to start using an email/calendar/contacts app (and sync with my new bberry). Any recommendations?

now that I have figured out blackberry internet service, the email issue is sorted, but I still need a syncable calendar and contact manager.

Well Thunderbird is the Mozilla email client and Sunbird is the calender app. I think there is an integrated calender extension for T/bird. Maybe you could try them.

does Thunderbird keep track of contacts as well?

One of the primary reasons I got this phone was so that I can sync my phone numbers with my PC

That should also be doable - import/export address book function.

Can you link your Blackberry via a USB cable to the PC?

evolution recently got a win32 client, its worth a shot, I love it in linux.

Its the colon and the capital D causing the issue with the link. The foru wants it to be a smilie as in 😀 so if you insert a : then a D after the Calendar you should be right.

so you want Calender then :then Device_Sync

I I wonder if I select the don't parse emoticons thing will work. Lets see.
