giving away unwanted clothes: Salvation Army, Consignment Store, or yard sale?

from what I've heard, Salvation Army will not pay for your donation but will "reimburse" you with a tax reduction thing...
on the other hand, in a Consignment Store I will have to wait for the item to sale in order to get paid.

so should I start a yard sale first, and all of those unsold remainder will go to either Salvation Army or Consignment store?

Yep. Then I'll go there, buy them for a quarter, and sell them on ebay for $10
