set up something so you can remotely do commands to their machines and shut it down. that's what i would do.

I share w/ dad but the only bandwidth intensive thing he might do is realplayer audio, that's about it so I've got it pretty good.

I share my bandwidth with my ftp server(Really i do if you think about it). My family might use up 1MBit/Month of it, but other than those 2 things it's pretty much mine. I hog what I can get too, although I'd be willing to share. In fact, I'm trying to share it with my friends(see http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=27&threadid=358292 and http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.cfm?catid=38&threadid=358444 for more info on this).

Any help with sharing it with my friends or alternative methods would be kinda nice, cause it's hard to have fun in ut playing against people with lag in the 200-400's range.
