I'm getting to know someone via e-mail, and I want to throw in a question that isn't the normal "what do you do, where you from, what do you do for fun" type. Anyone have any ideas? be serious (I know this place too well).

'what is the legality of me going out with you?'

'is a lawyer-endorsed pre-nup out of the question?'

"If you could be an ice cream cone or a chicken wing which would you be."

where the hell are these new lives coming from."

"If you had one wish, what would you like to accomplish"

If she answers "World Peace" you might end up banging Miss Universe.

Ask her what she looks like and if she answers "Kind of like Jennifer Aniston" She is lying out of her teeth.

<----this never happened to me.

OK, there are some funny one's here, just not something I'd ask. I already know what she looks like, so I can't ask that one. And no, I'm not posting pics

"Would you be opposed to threesomes with your best (female) friend?"

Cliche, I admit, but I still like it.

Personally I don't prefer those cliched, small talk questions either when I'm getting to know someone. They're too vague and open-ended for me I guess.

To what extent to you know her? I mean, you must have something in common already if you met her through someone or somewhere. I would just start talking about whatever you're comfortable talking about (i.e., your interests, things you like or dislike, how you grew up, a funny thing that happened to you today, observations, etc.) and see if she responds to that by telling you about herself. In whatever you say, bottom line is it's important to keep things light, make her laugh, joke around, y'know flirting.
