GIS Software (ArcView/ArcGIS) + SLI

From what I've found/searched so far the answer seems to be 'no benefit' but I thought I'd submit to the masses to double check.

If a specific application does not have a SLI profile. In this case, Arcview. I will see no benefit in having a system with a SLI configuration. I'm better off going with a higher end single GPU solution. Correct?

Workstation applications 99.999% of the time do not make use of SLI. The reason is that the applications are not about high frame rates like in gaming. If they can display 20fps that is usually good enough for work.

We use ArcView at work. Haven't had problems with standard middle of the pack AGP cards. I can see where the additional memory "might" help, but I would stick with a standard single GPU.

I do not know too much about ArcView, but it was a pain to set up.
