At 6' 1" tall, I have learned not to date shorter guys - it's that whole Napoleon thing. Other than that, it's a package deal, like Lola said. Tall might catch my eye, but real attraction comes from what I see in a guy as I get to know him.

I never have understood the "dark" part of that. So most women like tall, handsome, black guys? Dark hair? Dark skin? Tan skin? Darkman? Chef Boyardee?

Dark referes to two things. Healthy looking... Tanned and muscular.

But it also refers to a sense of mystery. If the girl thinks she knows you very well already and you are a nice guy -> Friend zone. Mystery can refer to brooding nature because it also triggers the nuture aspect in women. Or so I have heard from my friends.

i was just going to say that. lean is the more suited word i would think women prefer. my girlfriend definitely will let me know when she thinks a guy is attractive on TV or someone famous in a magazine or soemthing. at first it used to bother me, but after i got used to it and realize it is nothing other than her saying "that guys hot" or saying "wow" when they showed brad pitt in Troy when he's almost naked. it just doesnt bother me really anymore. that doesnt mean she's going to go out and go fvck someone else. i trust her %100. not to mention, it would be hypocrite of me to be bothered by that because i find many other women attractive as well, not JUST my gf.

so i think that like you said, everone has their own preference. i know I have always had a thing for darker haired women with nice bodies. i do not like skinny women. i like women with some meat. i personally have always liked hispanic women. luckily i am now with a very exotic looking nicaraugan chick, just the way i like em . not to mention, i'm pretty much exactly her type as well - i'm about 5 inches taller than her, lean and muscular looking, dress decent, and very humble. not to mention, i have confidence which as stated, women like.

Actually studies show that very slightly overweight tall men tend to do better in companies and in general life than others. I think the slight overweight exudes power, and people in general are attracted to power and leadership.

The skinny attractive thing is just with the metrosexual trend that happened. It will pass like all the other trends.

Sorry buddy. I'm not here to be a jerk. I was always pretty skinny, although I've beefed up a bit as I've gotten older...so its not like I'm just trying to be an ass here. I'm speaking from personal experience.

DougK62 is right. From a pure physical attraction stantpoint, as a guy, you're better off fat than skinny.

I dunno. In my part of town, the skinny lanky guys get all the women while the muscular types are attracted by gay guys and often disgusted by women because they look unintelligent or whatever. Otherwise nobody likes overweight people here.

Human nature typically looks for the best genes for survival. Guys typically look for good loins on a female because that means she put out alotta babies, breasts to feed them. Good looks because their kids are more likely be good looking.

Females look for roughly the same thing, masculine tall high chance of survival. It's in our genes. Skinniness puts you out of porportion and makes you look weak whether you are or not.

Go eat some (more) fvcking food and hit the gym, do heavy lifts with low reps, you're looking to put on some meat not become a pro athlete.

I dated a very tall very skinny (like 6'4, 135pounds) guy once. He was a dick but I was attracted to him because he was good looking and I thought we had a lot in common... I think we dated a week or so.

I've seen tall skinny ugly people and tall skinny good looking people, it depends on the entire package (no pun intended).

My current bf is not so tall (5'8ish?) and he is thin and I think he is perfect looking in every way.

In my opinion, skinny guys >>>>>>>>> fat guys

Yes tall, thin men are attractive they used to be my thing. Then I met my fiance and it went out the window. I couldn't go back to holoding bones when I've been with a tall, muscular toned man. There is a security and warm feeling with a man whos got some meat on his bones.
