Girls are mean!

There is this girl in my lunch period and she caught my eye because she was giving some guy a lap dance while there're several hundred people in the cafeteria at the time. I thought to myself, "What a whore, but a damn cute one." So over the next few weeks, I would steal quick glances at her and then she noticed me and would look at me back. First, there were just nervous glances but soon she would smile. Then I noticed her friends staring too so I guessed she was telling them she thinks I'm cute and then they sit there judging me.

So I made up my mind to go talk to her but never had the chance since she was always with her friends. After lunch today, I walked past her class, stopped, nervously braced myself and went into her class.

"Are you busy right now?"
"No."
"So do you wanna go to the library to chat or something?"
"I can't, I have to study."
<Thinking of something quick to say while noticing everyone in the class was looking at me>
"Come on, just go."
"I can't, I have to study." <She puts on an annoyed look>
"Ok"
<I walked out feeling like a dumbass only to have that feeling amplified when the whole class started laughing when I left>

Then not to show I've been beaten, I met up with her after that period and told her, "I'm not giving up. How about tomorrow?"
Once again, she puts on her annoyed look and said a curt, sarcastic "OK" and walks away.
<OUCH>

But damn, she acted like she truly liked me and then totally blew me off. Was she leading me on as a plan to play a cruel joke? Or maybe I had the wrong approach which turned her off?

Anyway, I'm going to talk to her tomorrow (she'll probably just ignore me) and ask what the hell was all that about. I'll keep you guys posted.

Girls are mean! Eakers is probably laughing her ass and is eager to press the reply button to give me an earful about how guys are just as mean.

Perhaps she actually does like you, but she is one of those girls who could only date you if you were popular, or she just doesn't want people to know about you. Or maybe she is just a bitch.

yeah, girls are mean. but they are also so damn purty. arg. she did say OK right? by being sarcastic did she say ok like out of spite or something? i would talk to her and if she acts like a b!tch again, screw her. there probably are better girls in your school.

btw i looked for the Skoorb effect on this one. kinda fit the profile...but nope. nothing there.

Fuggedaboutit.

The problem with high school chicks is that they really don't know what they want. What really got me during high school is that they all liked to date older guys because guys their age weren't mature enough for them. Now isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?

:)

The problem was you were being too nice and not assertive enough. You showed weakness by asking what she wanted to do. Instead of asking if she was busy and if you could chat you should have said, I need to talk to you now. Make it a command, she must obey.

That's what I thought too. When her friends stared at me, they seemed to be analyzing me rather than laughing at me so I don't think it was her agenda to play a cruel game on a guy. And if it really is because I'm not cool enough, the hell with her then since I'm not going to change for some b!tch.

Girls, if some guy started hitting on you in front of your class, would that piss you off, even if you like him? If I did humiliate her, then I'll apologize or something.

She could have been nicer about it, but she was pretty clear in her lack of interest. The main problem seems to be the little scenarios you built in your mind about her.

I was just thinking about the possibilities of why she could be so bitchy. I need to know why she was flirty with me at first and then became totally indifferent, so that's why I'm going to ask her tomorrow.

I may be nerdy but I have DAMN BIG BALLS MADE OF STAINLESS STEEL since I had the guts to actually talk to her a second time and will talk to her again. So give me some credit here :D

Maybe you approached her too fast, and she was embarassed to talk to you in front of the whole class. Maybe it would have been better if you had found a time when there weren't many people around... But then again, if she was giving someone a lapdance, I don't see how this might be possible.

Not to be a thread crapper. But you guessed that she liked you. That does not necessary mean that she likes you.

Well who knows WTF was going on in her mind, BUT you are about the first guy in AT history to actually have some balls. I'm not just saying because you initiated the first encounter (most people here can't), but also because you went for seconds like a stubborn ass! Keep with that approach and as long as you don't come off as a sleeze ball it will work for you soon enough :D

Hey man now it's your turn. Just do it once to somebody ;) Or even better "it's not you, it's me", that is the best.

I know someone just like you.

Unfortunately, you both have a tendency to make too much of nothing. Just like someone said earlier, you've built this scenario from your own hopes and desires.

Of course, this doesn't mean you shouldn't talk to her anyways. Although I think you might've jumped the gun.

Then again, what do I know?

Congrats on approaching her, you've got balls made of stainless steel my man!! Unfortunately, i don't think any of us understand high school girls, not even the girls on AT. High school girls are just soo......ditsy. You never know what they're thinking, or what their intentions are .

Just keep your pride man, if she turns you down again, let her be.

Haha, finally someone acknowledged that instead of some of other people here, who has yet to talk to a girl, try to play Dr. Freud.

But yeah, that was still pretty humiliating, especially when I did it in front of her whole class. Oh well, I'll get over it eventually.
