i can read perfectly fine. based on what i read, they said the girls were dumb because they couldn't answer a question about the stock market so they asked them to do dumb and easy things instead.

That question has basically nothing to do with the stock market. I thought the "bull market/bear market" thing was pretty common knowledge. I think they taught us about that in History in high school, as a side note to discussing the Great Depression.

The producers were obviously concerned with the physical looks of the people on the show, hence not hiring a qualified female host who didn't look good enough. I'd wager that contestants also needed to fit certain criteria that disregarded intellect. I've seen plenty of smart women on Jeopardy for example.

Middle school for me...I also asked about the bull statue when I was way younger on a field trip. You know, b/c kids tend to be curious about things around them...hopefully.

i've heard of it before but its not somethign i would keep in my head or think about regularly. i doubt its common knowledge, but then again, this is atot and people will say they know it even if they didn't.

why would they mention stocks and market if it wasn't about stocks?
