My girlfriend and i will have been going out for 4 months on Christmas eve.... Does this mean i have to get her two presents? One for the anniversary, one for christmas? 🙂 sorry, just got to thinkin about it and i wasnt sure, so i thought id ask here..
 
A dude will tell you that logically you can just get one to cover both bases.

I give my girlfriend presents on her birthday, for christmas, and whenever I feel like it. Much better than this one week, one month, 2 month, 6 months, 1 year, ... thing. My calendar is full enough.

Get her one or two nice presents, a card saying merry X-mas and happy anivesery, and then some flowers. You'll be set to go.

how old are you anyway? I haven't heard of these little every month anniversies since my days in highschool.

I'd just take her out to a nice dinner and only buy gifts for b-days and Christmas. V-day is just dinner and a box of candy.
 
Im 20 shes 19.... were 1500 miles apart though and only get to see each other every month or so...
 
personally, even though i dont think i've ever gotten girl a gift(can you tell i'am not too popular with the ladies?)

it doesnt matter how many gifts you get, just make sure the one gift you do get her, is a special gift 🙂
 
Do not buy a 4 month aniversary present. Then she'll expect a 5-month...6-month...

At least wait till 6 months or a year.
 
4 month anniversary is a non event. unless you're given presents for previous monthly anniversaries. in which case you just dug yourself into a hole.
 
1500 miles away? How is that working? Buy here one nice present. Do you have to fly to where she is or what? That's gotta be expensize.
 
anniversary---> yearly. As Ronin said. how many anniversary presents can you give her?? Think long term my friend. It'll do you good. 🙂
 
Dude, do NOT give her an anniversary present. She'll either a) expect one for every month you go out or b) suspect you're feeling guilty about something (most likely dating someone else on the side)

You do live far apart and girls always love flowers so just buy her some when you meet up. But don't make it a 4 month anniversary. Just say something to the affect that this is for you, not seen you in a long time, missed you ^_^
