This feeling is SUCK. Ever since 9th grade- we've been together. Then goes for ONE day down to a college to tour and decides she doesn't feel the same way for me- Man, I put my heart and soul into that girl, does anyone have anything to take out my frustrations?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

-Peace

-that is what she said "how many times have we got'on back together........3" I said shut up and stop making me feel like I have a chance to rectify the situation-
Guess I missed out on the biggest chance of my life- :( sux to be me-

p.s. Learn from my mistakes- when it comes to the comp or the girl, take the girl- just to make her happy so she doon't leave ya

Miserable, isn't it? Seperate feelings and knowledge for a little bit - go ahead and feel terrible because it's inevitable, but know that you wouldn't be as happy together with her, where you're the only one all-out in love, as you will be when you find the girl that loves you back in that same head-over-heels way. God bless.

When stuff like this happens to me (well, actually, just severe rejection really) I always play basketball. When I was practically together with this girl for like 6 months (we were tight) and then finally asked her out officially and she shot me down, I played basketball for like 2-3 hours every day for about a week. I felt a lot better.

Kinda funny...I have a craptacular track record with girls...so now whenever I play really well, a few of my friends ask if I've been rejected lately. Really sucks, because usually I have. I don't know why, but when I get rejected, I play really well (even the same day, not after playing like a madman for a week)...and they noticed this! :Q

Anyway, you're lucky you two were together for so long! I don't really have much other advice besides trying to take your mind off of her and trying to appreciate and feel happy for the time you did have together.

Yeah try to get on with your life. Maybe she realized she was a lesbian and wanted to spare you the hurt. Of maybe she was having an affair with Goerge Clooney and didn't want to make you feel inadequate!! Maybe she was having an affair with Goerge Clooney and Ellen Degenerous and didn't have room in her bed for you?

Actually maybe since you guys have been an item since the 9th grade she felt that she wanted to sew her oats elsewhere. That's usually what happens... at least that's what they said in the Movie Valley Girl!!

Regarding picture hosting, see my signature.

The part about it being right before your prom bites, but I guess she can't control the timing of what she feels. Go with her for old times' sake? I'd have really mixed emotions about that one. Good luck to you both.

I don't think that would be a good idea. She'd be doing it as a friend, but Warthog912 would be doing it to try to get back together with her (understandably).

Warthog912, good luck! I've never really had a girlfriend, so I don't know exactly what it's like to break up, but I know that it is hard. I'd recommend that you talk to people about it, not just in an Anandtech thread, but actually talk to people. If you can't find anyone, IM me and we'll talk. PM me if you want my screenname (if you have AIM) or ICQ number (if you have ICQ).
