Yeah, I know the feeling. Luckily, there was no way my gf (at the time) even wanted to drive my car as it was a stick. That, and since I'm so anal about my car she didn't want to deal with the inherent risks. After she got her license and had been driving for a few months I decided to let her drive when we went to the market one night. The market is less then a mile from my house.

I'll never ride in a car with her behind the wheel again. Lets see, she has since spun out on the freeway, scratched it at least once parking (that I know of), hit a fence or two.......

In PA you have to be with a licensed driver over the age of 18, who must be sitting in the passenger seat, while on your drivers permit.

Here in OR the licensed driver has to be 21 or older.
I forgot about that one. Don't we have some funky law that states if you are under a certain age (18??) then you can't drive with more than one (?) other person who is also under that age in the car? Or is it no underage passengers at all?

maybe she just popped the tire off the rim, and didn't actually put a hole in the tire... i'm guessin that is what happened.

I let one clumsy girl to drive my Golf once: she almost had crashed into gas station with it and I'm lucky that gearbox didn't broke. And when she got the car to stop somehow in the gas station, she wanted me to let her to drive in city little more (we approached to the city from highway). I had pretty hard time convincing her not to want that. No girl/woman has ever wanted to drive my GAZ 69 thought, cause it's clutch is so heavy that they just don't have the strenght to push the pedal down :)

Took the tire to a tire shop today, yup needs to be replaced, the damage was really bad. Take a look for yourself.

Pics aren't the greatest, but in the second one look at the slashes on the left side of the tire. Cost $78.67 to replace. Oh well, she said she'd pay for it, I paid for it anyway, not even a days pay, nothing I can't handle.

Waaaaaaaaaaa!!!

Jesus! It's just a freakin' tire. Grow up!

If you recall, in my first post, I said it wasn't a big deal.

In PA you have to be with a licensed driver over the age of 18, who must be sitting in the passenger seat, while on your drivers permit.
I'm 18...so it was legal then?

Wow, 17 and just getting her permit...what a peculiar age for that. Sorry bout the tire, dude, but it can be replaced/fixed. ;)
