Such used to happen all the time where I am.
I had to reset the modem and router after every storm came through. I finally got the cable company to provide a new modem.

Yeah I honestly don't know much about wireless networking, that's probably the one field in the IT spectrum I'm pretty much clueless about.

I always say stuff like that "Oh shit! Did a grenade go off in your apartment today?? You have some shrapnel by your eye" I'm using that bass fishing line next time I see her

It used to be, you were happy to have to prove your nerdship to people in need. At least I thought so.

I used to be happy to, but I seriously got worn out by constantly being badgered by people doing retarded shit despite my advice

Pics of computer with racy wallpaper.

Btw, give me her number. I'll make sure she gets some help. A new wireless dongle should do the trick.;)

Yes, you become everyone's computer bitch if you help your uncle, aunt, cousin, friends and everyone. I help out my GF and my parents with computers because they're close to me. I'd rather do that then they go to dumbshits at Geeksquad and shelling out $$$.

this?

do this... have her upgrade to a HTC diamond or touch pro, sign up to $30 a month unlimited data plan, load wmwifirouter on said phone...
you now have unlimited wireless access pointer where ever you have cell signal.

The reason you're having problems "helping" people is that you're doing it for free. L2Captilize and tell them you will help them but they'll have to pay for your time. As for your GF, dude, just help her out and stop being a wise and beautiful woman.

And no offense, but your GF sounds like a moron or just one of those helpless people that push stuff onto other people because of (insert excuse); couldn't figure out how to set up an appointment with the cable company? Give me a freakin' break; they arrange it with you over the phone when you order it.

Yeah, I was going to say you pretty much have to help your SO with computer shit, its just an exception to the "no speaka english" defense against computer help mooches...but it sounds like you've put about as much effort as she has into fixing the internet problem. :p I mean, what is she going to say next...that she doesn't know how to dial a telephone number?

"Buy a new one."

So let me get this straight, she's stealing internet and then complains when it's not working? That's like a burglar who sues after getting their ass beat. Just SIIHB and then get a new g/f that can afford internet, you'll be a lot happier.

Don't be surprised if she turns down your request for help with a raging hard-on...

"Sorry sweetie, I can't help you in any way shape or form, you probably know more than me about your peenor."

I've wondered about doing something like that. I have a Samsung phone with WiFi, on Tmobile GSM network, with $6.99/mo T-zones unlimited plan. Unfortunately, my phone has no such functionality to act as a mobile wifi router. Or could it, where can I find out more about wmwifirouter?

Edit: Darn, only for "Windows Mobile" devices.

You should have fixed the puter 100% then gleamed in heavenly bask of the hi-pro glow. That's how that works.
