The parents don't want that......I mean a cure to be found for her anyway.

Still, her parents say they take solace in the fact that she's here now, and believe she does not need to be cured of anything.

I don't know man...but if my 5 year old child was stuck in a mentally and physically incapacitated state for the next 15 years...I'd be begging for a cure.

A 6 month old is much cuter than a 5 year old.

Also, what would a cure do? Would she start aging from 6 months and then by the time she was 40 be like a normal 20 year old?
 
That's rough. I would imagine the parents can take solace in the fact that (hopefully) there's not a fully-grown consciousness trapped in there. Wow that would be weird.

What if she's just aging really really really slowly and will really live to an equivalent of like 1000 years old??
 
Damn im not sure if i like the idea of them using their dna to make a anti aging pill..... Imagine if people like donald trump never dies!!!

I didn't mean a cure as in something that would reverse her condition but possibly something that will allow them to detect this "issue" earlier on. I don't know if something preventative could be done..only research will tell.

If this was my child, I wouldn't be able to deal with it. I mean, shes basically retarded...

I'd like to know if her parents carry some type of Mutated DNA or something.

That's a very interesting notion. Studies currently done on anti aging on roundworms show exactly that. They were able to get the roundworms to live 20x longer! So that's the equivalent of us living to 1500-2000yrs old. The worms didn't just live longer, they aged proportionally slower.
