Girl related Question...

Question is more along the lines of 'What would you think' and not 'What would you do' if you were in my place.

So I was talking to this girl I have been seeing for a little over a month(things are going great, imo) and we start talking about what we are looking for in potential partner. So nothing unusual so far but then when it's her turn to say what she is looking for, she brings out a written list(we were on the phone). Now who the F makes a list of (almost) requirements like that? I don't know if I should feel good that I passed the whole list or be concerned that I am going out with somebody so calculative? As far as I am concerned you can make all the lists you want, but when you see the right person the list goes out the window.

just for the heck of it her list had like 10 diff. things

physically fit, good looking, intelligent, funny, mature, family oriented, independent...etc(not in any particular order).

I know everybody had some requirements but who the hell makes a list like that? Does it sound wierd to anybody else or am I over reacting?

We all have a list, most just don't write it down. Some of us have long list and others have short list, it's a good thing she didn't have a real short list such as "breathing, guy". When you go out drinking your list gets smaller the more you drink....

Take it as a compliment.

As long as you passed everything, then I wouldn't worry about it!!! :)

I had girl friends in college that used to talk about the things they wanted out of a guy. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them made a list. Just be happy that you passed everything, and that her list didn't have anything crazy on it. (12+ inches, drives a BMW 3-series, etc.)

Yeah, girls are strange (lol :D).
You've got a good thing going, and you fall under her list (and she yours, I'm assuming). That means you're doing better than most people ;)

That's the first time I ever heard that. I have never gone out with a girl who has list like that, but then again it could be that none of them felt comfortable enough to share.

My sister did that when she was in school. My sister's friends did that. Some of my female friends in school did that. Every girl I dated never let me know the list but more than likely they had one. Only my wife has let me know about her list and where I fell in it.

Maybe more like 'Normal for girls to do things like that' :)

Agreed, and don't be silly, you can't honestly believe that she wouldn't throw the list out the window for love...
I know my wife did ;)

I've made a list of things I'm looking for in a girlfriend. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past boobs and ass :)

you have nevre heard of a girl writing a list like that?

I have 3 sisters, which all 3 did that, as well as my oldest daughter has made a list like that at least once (Found it outside on the ground)

It's nothing strange or unusual imo

When I first started dating my wife, we has to go to the grocery store in the rain. We were sharing one umbrella. When we came out of the store, I walked her to the passenger door, unlocked it and opened the door for her. Then I went to the driver's door and got in. She said that I passed the "date test"! She said that if a guy opens the door for her in the rain, then he passes the test! HAHAHAHA

She was 23 at the time :)

I probably won't be surprised if she was in HS but the fact is that we are talking about a grown woman. I guess I should be telling her this but it was surprising that 'Love' was no where to be found on that list.

But at this point it starting to sound like I should just wait and see how it plays out. Overall it's still wierd.

There are worst neurotic habits from women to deal with. Be glad this is just a very benign one.

I think the list is normal. Everyone makes a list of what they want in a potential partner. She just wrote her's down on paper. I see nothing strange about that.

Don't think anything of it, show me a girl in this world that doesnt have a list like that and I'll eat my chair. Seriously, its absolutely harmless, who doesnt want those things? She'll just learn soon enough how unrealistic those aspirations are... no offence!:)

Maybe she considers love a given so she didn't include it.

My mom told me I should do that. I never have (because I'm a guy?), but I thought it was fairly common. Kinda like having a list of all the things you want to do in life (which I also don't have haha)

Don't let it bother you, when you're 45 you'll still be capable of hitting lucious 25 yr old babes and the only thing on her " list" will be that the dude accepts mastercard or Visa.

Think of the bright side... if she's that anal you won't ever have to clean the house. It'll be spotless.
