2) Is she qualified for the positioni

3) Did she want the posting.

What is the point of the thread - you made it souind as if she expected the moon; but you do not indicatae if that is what she expected and received.

OMG I count 4 questions and no question marks..... *brain implodes*

I think the OP is missing the fact that she really can't be that bad if she's willing to devote herself to the Navy.

Nope. She's only there as a means to a job she wants when she gets out.

But, ya, obviously superceding all this is my respect for her serving in the military.

She's kinda a know-it-all brat and we were all a little bemused by the fact that she'd be getting a harsh dose of reality.

Not only does she get the job she wanted, but she is being stationed in freaking Greece.

Topic Title: Girl I know joins the Navy
Topic Summary: Expecting a certain job

Yeah, AND?!

uhm, seems like she is pretty smart and knows how to get what she wants? so is this a thread about how you are petty and jealous of someone who figured out how to work the system, because you haven't figured it out?

wait until the jealous envious pwned OP hears she has won the lottery and probably married the millionare guy of her dreams....and has never even heard of ATOT...therefore will never get addicted to this place and will do something worthwhile with her life....

yeah way to go man now im depressed too!! 🙁

All the branchs of the milatary are now very careful about giving recruits job assignments they are promised because of several court cases which allowed people to legally walk away from service without penalty charging breach of contract. (I know about this because a good friend of mine was one of the first cases)

Good for her? Where is the negatives. She got the job she wanted and is stationed in Greece -- where's the negatives.

Yeah she did, and SonnyDaze explained one possible factor into the reason why.

So I'm confused. Is the OP happy for her (mentioned his respect for her serving) or simply upset that she wasn't disappointed...or both? ...conflicted much?
