Should be good fodder for the mainstream media. There can be no weakness amongst the Republicans. Like the dogs they are, if one hobbles for moment the rest attack!

LOLs. Understandable, but quite funny. Reminds me of the story (joke?) about the security officer who was sleeping at his lobby post only to be stirred awake by a bunch of office workers yelling and pounding at the locked glass entrance doors. Realizing his predicament, he loudly pronounced "AMEN!", opened his eyes, got up and opened the doors.

If this is indeed fake, I sincerely apologize. Here the abcnews.com link. They wouldn't host a doctored vid, in their haste to get a scoop, right? :p

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politic...ve-a-panel-gingrich-says-to-panel-less-aipac/

Of course they wouldn't use doctored footage of a Republican, this is ABC! Or admit it was one of their staffers that told Gingrich he was going to be asked questions by a panel. Or showed who he was answering about Leon Panetta. Everyone knows that the myth of a Democrat/liberal media is perfectly false.

You love Gingrich too?

Yawn. I thought you said you were going to stop being such a shrill partisan hack. Your raging hatred for anything left is starting to put you in Spidey territory.

RE. the OP, not a big deal. It just gives a hint of how grueling the campaign trail is. Much as Mono loves to jump the left for every stupid little thing he is fed, if this is the worst anyone has on Gingrich he's in great shape.

I am envious of both Newt Gingrich and dogs. Both are able to wake up and fall asleep on demand. I wish if I had to wait for something I could just doze off and be woken up when its about to start :(

Two of my business partners were at the AIPAC conference - it will be interesting to hear their thoughts on this and the President's speech.

At the very least - do you think it would be a good idea to doze off while you are on camera?

I love how mono and others are just dismissing this as if it didn't happen. While it's not a huge deal, it is a bit of an 'oops' moment for him.

Meh, Newt has much worse dirt on him. Micro naps (something we've ALL done as human beings) is no big deal. OMG the guy caught some Zzzz's and woke up a little confused. You don't know how many times that either I was the person doing this or watched someone fall asleep in class/work and thought they were falling to snap awake and make some huge reaction while doing so. Those are some lulz, but nothing to work a stink up over.

I don't think this reflects badly upon Newt at all.

There are other things in my opinion that reflect badly upon him though. Cheating, lying, and a some other morally questionable actions come to mind.

During Obama's campaign and all his muck ups (57 states anyone?) the left constantly said "oh it's because the campaign trail is so grueling and tiresome".

So, this gaff can be dismissed because campaign trail is tiresome. Non-story.

When are candidates ever not on camera? He could have been sitting in that seat for an hour. His response about Panetta was obviously to someone not in the range of the camera. It was obvious someone told him that his talk to AIPAC would include a panel. The video was edited and heavily edited to be as bad as it was.

You of course are a Democrat partisan jerk that thinks lying about an opponent is funny and cool and that thinks that a major media outlet like ABC putting a hit piece like this up is a good thing.

I agree this is no big deal, but also think the "57 states" thing was as well - this is a man who was the editor in chief of the Harvard Law Review and he obviously knows how many states there are. You, on the other hand, clearly want to critique the President but not Gingrich, and that makes you a hypocrite in my book.

Slow down, Gramps. First prove something was doctored, then rant on.

Non issue. I've never held 57 states against Obama, and won't hold this against newt.

Besides, there's plenty of other crap to attack him for.

57 states wasn't a muck up. It was a reference to the 57 states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Newt on the other hand is just a confused old man who can't stay awake. Also terribly ugly to boot.

Exactly. Trying to make an issue of this is just as dumb as the many non-issues used to attack Obama (e.g., garden, lapel pin, bowing, eating a burger, etc.).

Yep, watched it.
I made no claim it was doctored, You Did.

Prove it or shut up.

Are you kidding? If everyone had to prove everything they said or claimed in this forum beyond a reasonable doubt they'd only be 4 or 5 posts in here a day. What do you want me to do obtain the video logs from ABC, watch them and run them on my console?

Can you prove to this level all of your posts in these forums over the last week or 2? No you can't just in case you want to try that claim.

In other words, it's your emotional opinion this footage was somehow "doctored", but you have no evidence to support you.
