Well, Nick Drake is pretty good and he is finally geting the recognition he deserves. If you like his style, you may want to invest in some Graham Coxon. That said, teh stuff he does is far from life changing. One of my perosnal fav when i was young was Oasis's whole album - Definately maybe.

oH and you can't forget The Beatles Sgt. Pepper.

probably not many fans on these boards, but you should check out Of A Revolution (O.A.R.). Good music.

Again, probably not much love from this crowd.

make sure you listen to their live stuff, they loose a fair amount of energy and spontenaity in the studio.

if you're up for a 673.3M download you can get a lossless show that's pretty good. Legal, free.

tons of other OAR and other shows available at that website, too, some MP3, some lossless, some both.

I listened to OAR quite a bit during my stinky hippy days. Good stuff if that's your thing ;)

Golden Earring. Listen to their albums from 1970 on up. Their stuff from 1965-69 was quite odd, but still good.
Nazareth. It's all good. Awesome band.
Riot- Awesome 70's-80's metal.
Starz- Not much people know about these guys, but they are awesome. Listen only to their albums from 1976-78. Those are their best ones.
Uli Jon Roth- Guitar god. My favorite guitarist of all time.
Legs Diamond- All his stuff from the 70's was awesome.
Jethro Tull- 1971's Aqualung is IMO, their best album.

keller williams should all be live show torrents, try for the 15th in richmond, i went to it last weekend, great show that night. does a mix of acousitc, bluegrass, jazz and other stuff.

Bela Fleck more live, bluegrass/jazz mix, great stuff, some of my favorite. if you like them buy "Live at the Quick"

this is the kind of music that i can just relax to no matter whats going on. and lately, i have really really needed to relax
