I needed some mach3 razor refills and after doing quite a bit of searching, the best deal I found was $1.20 / ea for these. You have to buy 24 for $28.89, but that includes shipping and handling. Ordered them on last Friday and they arrived today via priority mail. Pretty good considering the holidays.

Even better - get a QUALITY electric like Braun and never
buy blades or shaving cream again.

Stay away from Norelco - wouldn't cut butter in August.

Planet RX has 3 packs for $4. Buy 3 use the $10 off $10 coupon found at other deal sites. Total $6 for 12 blades. $.50 a piece is good.

EDIT Price went up since I purchased, but coupon still works shipping is about $5 for all orders.

i've used a few electrics... i just don't find that i get a close enough shave w/ them... maybe i'm just stupid... actually wait... i am 🙂

I get tooooo close of a shave with electrics...after shaving with an electric when i splash that after shave, ahhhhhh, ohhhhhh, OUCH !

and plus, u doooo have to change their blades as well...just after a real long time 🙂

Not bad at all, I use the Mach 3, and it kicks my Braun's azz.....Closest shave I've ever dreamed about, and the blades seem to last a reasonable amount of time, considering I've seen wire brushes softer than my beard......hehehe

I dunno what you're talkin about rickforrest. I have a Norelco 6885XL (their top of the line offering) and while it was semi-expensive, it gives me a shave so close to a real razor I can barely tell the difference, and neither can my girlfriend. Worth every penny. I recommend it.
Shiz.

Some of the various experiences can be attributed to individual differences in your beard, I can't stand electric, tried them all and get a serious 5 o'clock shadow. Mach 3 is awesome, closest shave I've ever gotten.

Thanks for the heads up...ever since more.com merged with some other site, I haven't been able to get my 4 packs for $1.00

🙁

I have an Norelco and a Mach3. Norelco for speed and 'good enough for gov't work' days, Mach3 for smoooooooooooooooth. Thanks for the tips!

I've used 'em both over the years. But ever since I found the Mach 3 I wouldn't even look at an electric now! I think someone was corret when they say it depends on your beard and face when using an electric. Some people have great sucess.

The nice thing about a blade is I can be a slob and go for a week without shaving if I want. Try doing that with an electric....OUCH!

I've become a Mach 3 evangelist. I take a spare razor and blades to the shows I do and convert the unbelievers. I swear the company should sponsor my missions of peace.

Incidentally, I shaved with an older Sensor and kinda liked the thinner, 2-bladed head. Nothing like 3 blades for quick shavin' goodness, but thin at bad.

my norelco works fine for me but like somone else said if you dont shave for a couple days then try to use a electric prepare for a rash and some pain!

I agree with Hossenfeffer. The Mach3 is cool, but the old 2-blade Sensor works better for my upper lip because it's thinner. The Mach3 is just too damn big and bulky for that area.

Yeti, what are you talking about? Planet RX doesn't even offer a Mach 3 3-pack. The cheapest one they have listed is the 4-pack for 7.72, about twice as expensive as the $4 you quoted. If I'm wrong, then give us a link.
D.

I've been buying (I think they're Schick) 3-blade cartridges at Walmart
pretty reasonably (something like 4 for $2.23). I buy the "ladies" replacement blades because they are cheaper than the "mens" version and the only difference between the two is the color of the plastic.

I was a skeptic when the three-blade razors came out and thought they were just another marketing gimmick but after using one, I'm a believer,
they really are a lot better than two-bladers.

I'll have to check out PlanetRX and see what's what.

I have really sensitive skin and always put off shaving cause I will literally break out right away with raised bumps that get cut, etc. a couple months ago I got the top of the line norelco electric razor and used it as instructed and if done every day it kept a damn good shave for electric but being dry really irritated my face even though I cleaned it out after every use. So I returned it with their money back guarantee.

recently I just bought the mach 3 and the thing is the best razor I have used. very sharp and it cuts through my hairs quickly and since their is shaving cream less irritation for me. Its been only about 10 days and I have shaved 3 times because I have broken out a little and am letting these sores heal, but after each shave I haven't had nearly the same breakouts and shaving is quick and nice for a close shave. Im hoping my face will settle down and get trained in a few weeks and as long as I don't break out more I can't see switching from this type of razor.

For my mustache, mach3 works so much better than all the electrics i've tried. One caveat is that the angle of the head on the Mach3 makes it difficult for me to shave right underneath my nose... other than that and the usual high price of the blades, it's the best 🙂

P.s. oh, the Schick's version of the 3-blades razor is no where near Mach3. I received the free sample that was abundant here at anands, and i never used it again after the first try...
