This situation reminds me of him at the Hugh Heffner roast making a 9/11 joke. Anyone see The Aristrocrats? It's one of the few DVDs that I've purchased in the last 5 years. He talks about the joke and using humor to bring us all together and help the healing.

a little funny, but regardless of how serious the situation is, it's a dumbass move to make fun of the client's of the company you work for in a public forum.

It's poor taste and all but it's his own tweeter account. He is a comedian. He will make fun of his own funeral if given the chance.

On the other hand, maybe they will get rid of that stupid annoying duck.

He has made a career out of being annoying.

That said, I chuckled at the girlfriend floating by joke, but yeah, it's both in bad taste and way too soon. Japan is facing real tragedy and my heart is going out to those over there who are facing this head on.
 
Aflac did the right thing. Gottfried has been on Howard Stern saying all kinds of non-mainstream things for years. Im surprised it hasnt happen sooner.

I was watching ABC News a little while ago, and a reporter said in the most devistated area, the smell of corpses was everywhere. Cars piled up into every nook and cranny, peopled lined up for miles to buy food. I do feel sorry for them.

For the record, a chuckle escaped. Damn you Gilbert!
