Marc Ecko didnt decide to put the asterisk over it, he let the public vote and decide.

Gilbert is an idiot.

So, side conversation begins here: should the NBA care about blood doping (and the basically directly related oxygent tents that arenas admits to using)? I don't see why, unless there is a major health risk associated with it?

The original draft of this blog just got released. Apparently he had to rewrite it because someone plagiarized his original work.

How friggin dare anyone out there make fun of barry after all he has been through. All you people care about is?.. readers and making money off of him. HE?S A HUMAN! He hasn?t performed well in the field for years. All you people want is MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE. LEAVE Him ALONE! You are lucky he even performed for you BASTARDS! LEEEAVE BAARRRY ALLLLLONE!?..Please. Marc talked about professionalism and said if Barry was a professional he would?ve pulled it off no matter what. Speaking of professionalism, when is it professional to publically write on someones ball. Leave Barry Alone Please?. Leave Barry Bonds alone?right now?.I mean it. Anyone that has a problem with hin you deal with me, beacuse he is not well right now. leave him alone

Wow... I used to think Arenas was a classy guy.

Here he comes across as just another ungrateful whiny athlete.

If he cared so much about what happened to Barry Bond's "property", why didn't he bid on it himself?

You had the chance, Gilbert, to put your money where your mouth now is. You didn't, so please spare us the "poor Barry" argument.

exactly. if he wanted the damn ball he should have bid on it to begine with. Not now when he knows the guy is not going to sell it!

Well no one knew Ecko would do this with the ball. Its like someone buying the Mona Lisa then having a bunch of people offer to buy it back after the winning bidder decides to paint on it like the Joker did in Batman. Makes sense to me unless Im missing something. However, Arenas seems like a hypocrite, he won't allow Ecko to be a "superman", but hes trying to do the exact thing by saving the ball from the *.

EDIT: I'll respect Arena's for putting his viewpoint out there and not being afraid to share his feelings, but thats it.

on that we can agree.

i don't live too far from Cooperstown, been to the BHOF quite a few times. getting to see the tainted record baseball will be worth another trip there for me.

sure.... Bonds didn't do 'roids, and OJ didn't kill his ex wife and Ron Goldman. some people are so frickin pitiful.

i can see it now, down the road, when Bonds needs some cash, he'll write a book about how he used steriods, but will say it's not admitting to anything and title it: "IF I HAD JUICED"

He can collaborate with OJ to steal the ball from the BHOF at gun point.

taking these other things is not the same at all for 1 major reason.

Steroids were illegal when he took them.
